Privacy
Zestasy collects very little. There are no accounts and no ads, and the newsletter box keeps nothing yet. The only optional extra is Google Analytics, which counts visits so we know which answers help, and it runs only if you press Accept.
Analytics, only with your yes
If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited. It sets cookies in your browser and tells us things like which pages were read, roughly where readers come from (country level) and which device type they use. We use it only to understand what is useful and to improve the magazine. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not combine it with any other data.
If you press "No thanks", or do nothing, Google Analytics is never loaded and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
Google's own explanation of what it does with the data is at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
What we keep on your device
We store one small setting in your browser to remember your choice about analytics. It never leaves your device.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes the technical data any website needs to deliver pages (such as your IP address) to keep the site fast and secure.
